Garden of Earthly Delights

Oh, where to start..? Garden of Earthly Delights event in Germany, Miltenberg (held at last weekend) was for me possibly this year’s last re-enactment (SCA) journey outside of Finland. This time the men were left home and only we girls went there.  The journey and the event was just great fun, and as others have already had time to comment, nothing normal happened there (except normal sized beers). The event idea was to display unfinished crafts and other projects, and to teach and discuss the arts and sciences-related things. In my display I had for example pages with recipes from my blog Oneyear and thousand eggs, unfinished naalbinded socks and unfinished blackwork embroidery projects.

After the event on Sunday, we spent time in Miltenberg, which was a gorgeous little town. We also visited the museum, where I did not unfortunately take pictures. The museum was quite small anyway. In addition, we had enough (?), sausages, and drank good beer. Ah, sausages ...

I also want to annouce that Mistress Katheryn Hebenstreitz has taken me as an apprentice and our Indenture will be signed and the proper celebrations held in a week at All Hallows Feast event!
I am so happy :)

Mistähän aloittaisi? Garden of Earthly Delights tapahtuma Saksassa Miltenbergissä oli minulle tänä vuonna mahdollisesti viimeinen ulkomaanreissu keskiaikatapahtumaan.
